Wow, I wouldn't even know where to begin with that!

The $5 a gallon gas was for how long? And in comparison to some of the lowest prices in years for how long? Dow at an all-time high and unemployment at historic lows seem to be forgotten about. Home ownership at peaks, productivity levels high, etc. And add in a little thing called 9/11 that threw things off just a little. I mean you make it sound like it was 8 years of hell but I seem to recall the last year or two being the problem years economically.

And to say President Bush was not lampooned, mocked, ridiculed and protested DAILY shortly after the start of the wars is a little off imo. SNL, nightly news, "pundits' , Michael Moore movies, Code pink protests, etc were the norm. No large domestic agenda was passed with the "Conservative Congress" you talk of either.

President Bush was given some rope early on b/c of 9/11, but not too long after is when all hel broke loose. And this is not being written in any way defending any policies of President Bush, but addressing your interesting post.

Gas prices from 1992 to 2000 hovered around $1 to $1.50. From 2003 to 2008, they went from $1.75 to nearly $5 a gallon steadily. The increase was over a 5 year period.

Didn't President Obama know the economy was going to be bad when he was running for President? The excuse of "inheriting" has gotten so old so quickly in a year and it is pathetic imo that our President CONSTANTLY complains about it 25% into his Presidency.

I didn't forget about a 14 year high in unemployment as you assume. How many years has it been since it was 10.2%; or did you forget to add that?

How many tax cheats and lobbyists on staff? Lost 2 governor's seats, and 1 Senate seat while picking up a Congessional seat under his campaigning. TARP has done what? How about the bogus foreclosure bill? Backroom deals with the same industries he was blasting in public? Transparency? Other then a toothless equal pay law, what actually has he done in your opinion?
