Agree, why punish the majority that follow the rules for a few that dont? I hate having to pay for gas before I pump because a few run off without paying. Same thing.

Also, the forum does add some intelligent debate which some who lurk may find informative.

PK is right, it will keep the spats in here instead of the other forums.

Lobbyists are not just corporate lobbys. The lobbys are on both sides paying off in political contributions as environmental groups and social organizations as well. Dont forget some of the biggest contributors who steal people's hard earned money in order to fund politicians their "constituencies" may not even support...Unions.

right on the money. i know a guy that works for a co that makes defense contractor parts. his union was asking everyone to support john kerry for president. he brought up at a union meeting that he voted against almost all defense spending (after looking it up on line), and this is taking money/jobs away from them (the union). he was told that this is what the AFLCIO wanted them to do, so that is who they are supporting.

Joe, thats not my point. We have people getting banned because of their differences of opinions with others and it turns nasty. Then, this carries out to the sports forums, i.e. Wayne and Kaz. I have NO DOG in this fight, so please understand that I am not picking sides.
I know there might be some hard feelings between the two anyway and to me, this political forum just stirs it up.

You WILL NEVER get them to agree, not matter what the subject. And that goes with others here also. Staunch Democrats or staunch Republicans will never agree.

Its not the forum, its the people who wear their heart on their sleeve and get offended and/or pissed off if others debate their beliefs.

To me, its a no win situation.

Another example, I pissed people off just by posting that I don't like this part of the forum. I made people mad at me, and I hope you're not one of them, because I posted something different than what they think.

When you post different plays, you have a winner and a loser. Here, in my opinion, there is NO winner, including BC.
