Accenture drops him, Gillette backing off, Tiger Ade (Gatorade brand), ATT rethinking its sponsorship.

More will drop him not just because of what he did but it is a good excuse to get out of a contract with him due to the economy. Like Buick had to do with him last year.


Tiger, one question, was it worth it??


Tiger makes about 100 milion a year roughly. 93 million of that is through sponsors, 7 million on the course.

We all know he can afford it and is set for life but it is still quite a lot to piss away.

Yeah, scary how much money he probably lost. Extrapolate that out over the next ten years and you are looking at hundreds of millions. Again, he and his next ten generations are set for life, but that's still a lot to lose. When the story first broke and the thought was this was more of a one time thing, I thought he could recover in a year or two....a la Kobe Bryant.....and get back in the mix. Now I'm not so sure. The story has gotten pretty seedy with 10 to 15 women....including a couple porn stars.....and in my opinion he will never get everything back. Maybe a couple years down the road he rehabs his image, but the type of money and the quantity of sponsors will never be the same.

I think the big reason he got married was because he wanted kids. I wonder how many of these other women "tried" to get pregnant so they could get $$$$?? I really think some of these women think that way.

He's getting what he deserves. He cheated and now he's paying the price. As an endorser if you keep him on it's like you're saying its ok to cheat on your spouse.

On another note didn't his wife buy a new home just recently in either Denmark or Norway?

ATT is a huge sponsor of the Tour and sponsors Tiger's own event.

Will be interesting to watch whether they pull the plug as well.

Lets see what the PGA is going to do as their ratings drop while he is not playing. Its no secret that when he is not at an event, attendence lacks, ad rates drop.

Some players might be grinning that they now have a better shot at winning, but IMO, they might be winning for less money as other sponsors drop out.
