Cap and trade has to do with energy use. Just think of Al Gore

Companies will trade (or buy) energy use permits/credits beyond a limit if they care to do so. Sounds like corporations will pay dearly for thier abuses..............but guess who gets it in the end??? Joe consumer will. Costs will be passed on tothe customer down the line, you can count on that.

What is going to happen is(example only)

Factory A (all of the politicians friends) puts out 100 units of carbon a year

Factory B puts out 100 units of carbon a year

Factory A will get a 300 unit window and Factory B will get a 50 unit window

Since Factory B will need another 50 units, they will have to buy them from Factory A at a price

Factory A will have many politicians reaping the benefits of selling the other 200 units to those Factory B's that will go over the limit

The consumer gets to pay for it all & the pols will rake in the money

This is my opinion on it
                          ---------------------------------

                          Definition of Cap/Trade

A central authority (usually a government or international body) sets a limit or cap on the amount of a pollutant that can be emitted. Companies or other groups are issued emission permits and are required to hold an equivalent number of allowances (or credits) which represent the right to emit a specific amount. The total amount of allowances and credits cannot exceed the cap, limiting total emissions to that level. Companies that need to increase their emission allowance must buy credits from those who pollute less. The transfer of allowances is referred to as a trade. In effect, the buyer is paying a charge for polluting, while the seller is being rewarded for having reduced emissions by more than was needed. Thus, in theory, those that can easily reduce emissions most cheaply will do so, achieving the pollution reduction at the lowest possible cost to society.

same here, i had to guess at the last one. no one ever talks about how many troops are in these countries, just how many they want to add or take away. those question were very easy if you pay attention to events. i don't think my wife wouldn't know any of those questions for sure. it looks like most people are in the same category as my wife as for as political topics.
