To attack her for being dumb as a bag of rocks or whatever people are saying is ridiculous. I mean come on, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden are already number 2 and 3 in line if anything would happen to Obama. That is scary because those 2 are clueless.

Now give me your honest take on those two? I gave mine.
Thank you flare Thats what ive been looking for but youre great american what the heck does that count for? When you put yourself out there for the public and media to nit pick you and you try to call other people out alot of times youre the one who ends up getting called out and thats what happened to her.

No im not a fan at all of nancy pelosi I think she is too liberal and I think joe biden might be in the early stages of alzheimers some of the shit he says shows absolutely no thought process.

I hope they go through this health care bill before they vote on it and at least try to get 50 percent of the bullshit out of it.
One last point, in no way should this health care bill contain anything that has to do with abortion. Im surprised none of you guys have commented on that at all.

Thanks for your honesty MM, you and I know that both parties are really out of touch with the reality we deal with 9 to 5.

I thought the house version bill took abortion out? I dont want it in there either. I thought I heard the senate version is trying to sneak it back in. Most Americans are not paying attention which is what Washington hopes for.

What is equally as terrible as abortion being part of the bill is that illegals will be able to get coverage.

September 11, 2009, 9:32 AM ET.Will Illegal Immigrants Get Insurance Coverage with Health Reform?.Will or won’t illegal immigrants be insured in a health care system overhaul? The question has come to the forefront since Rep. Joe Wilson’s cried out “You lie!” during president Obama’s health care speech the other night.

Though the answer isn’t entirely clear, the WSJ notes that the House health reform proposal excludes illegal immigrants from the mandate of buying health insurance or paying a penalty. It also denies them the “affordability credits” that would reduce their out-of-pockets costs of buying insurance on their own, but they could participate in the insurance exchange, where individuals and small businesses can shop for coverage. Obama’s plan wouldn’t allow them to participate in the exchange at all, according to the WSJ.

Critics say that as the House bill stands now, there’s no verification check required to get access to expanded Medicaid coverage, according to the Washington Post. This issue is still being sorted out but could remain complicated, in part because there are households with a mix of legal and illegal immigrants.

“Will some illegal immigrant get [help]? Probably. Will it be this big problem? Probably not,” Gerald Prante, an economist with the nonpartisan Tax Foundation, told the Post.

The Post points out that there are an estimated 6 million to 7 million uninsured illegal immigrants in the U.S., but they tend to use the services far less than others because of the fear of interacting with the health care system and the government

You don't know what you are talking about smart guy. Of course the bill isn't going to come right out and say illegals are covered, the people wouldn't stand for it. However, the current bill eliminates the current document verification to demonstrate that you are entitled to accept the benefits of the program. Most estimates say at least 75% of illegals have social security numbers, so even if they were checked through the system, which this bill does not require, they would not be caught. All they have to do is give a social security number

Show me the source of that estimate?(And you bet not say Glen Beck) If 75% of illegals have social security numbers then we have bigger problems to deal with....

Harold, you may need to read this article again: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/04/05/bu...migration.html ... Quote: "Last year, Mr. Martínez paid about $2,000 toward Social Security and $450 for Medicare through payroll taxes withheld from his wages. Yet unlike most Americans, who will receive some form of a public pension in retirement and will be eligible for Medicare as soon as they turn 65, Mr. Martínez is not entitled to benefits.

He belongs to a big club. As the debate over Social Security heats up, the estimated seven million or so illegal immigrant workers in the United States are now providing the system with a subsidy of as much as $7 billion a year." They pay into it and get little in return. Since they are illegal they go home before they're 60, so the don't get their SS benefits.

Wow, little short sighted I'd say. Great, they contribute $7 billion but cost three times that. In a 1996 study estimates showed illegals contributed $12.6 billion to national economy, but the cost on our economy was $35 billion. A net cost of $20 billion. Since 1996 the illegal population has doubled, meaning a net cost of $40 billion. Sorry if I don't shed any tears for Mr. Martinez....WHO IS BREAKING THE LAW. What he and other illegals pay in tax base is pittance to the cost of educating them, hospitalizing them, imprisoning them, etc.

All I ask is that you read the articles you post. It did not back up your point at all. Again, the article actually says that illegals may save social security "Illegal immigration, Marcelo Suárez-Orozco, co-director of immigration studies at New York University, noted sardonically, could provide "the fastest way to shore up the long-term finances of Social Security." You should have read the article, it was a good read, but did not help your argument at all.

I do agree with you that we spend way too much money locking them up, but prisons are big business now. I don't agree with them, but its the truth.

This is from the article you pasted:

"Since 75 percent of illegal aliens already have phony Social Security cards and the remaining 25 percent can obtain them for as little as $50 on the street, this verification provision isn't worth the paper it is written on and lawmakers know it."

It says phony Social Security numbers. So I guess that you are saying lets just scrap the whole project because Illegals with phony SSN will get free health care... You are not even worthy of being called a DUMB ASS

I'm going to be nice to you since my kitty cats spanked your dawgs last night and just end this conversation. I have other things to do with my time like read some of Jordan Rules threads

Look, I posted the article for the sole purpose of answering a request to cite a source for my post about 75% of illegals having SSN.......that was it. If I would have redacted everything in the article except the 75% number then you would have given me crap for not disclosing the whole article. The only point of those articles was as a source for the 75% number, not anything more. My original post on this issue was that illegals will have coverage under the plan when Obama said he wouldn't give coverage to illegals. It is simply another rather obvious attempt at buying votes by getting all the illegals and uninsured people to always support the hand that feeds them (democrats). Once the government controls everything about your life you lose the freedoms that have made this country great, and you are at their moercy. You are very naive if you can't see that is part of what is going on.

Give everyone everything they ever want, and they will vote for you. Unfortunately there are just too many people in this country that are dumb, lazy and/or selfish. They just love getting free shit w/out giving any thought at all to the real cost. Really kind of sad considering there are very few entitlement programs that the government has done successfully over a long period of time.

Grandmama, I would at least like to say thanks for not making things personal with the name calling like buddyluv. When people name call it says more about that person then the person they are calling names. You and I obviously have different views on things, and that's alright........great thing about this country. We can have disagreements and still be respectful.

Harold, I hear ya. Those articles did say that 75% of illegals do have "fake" social securtiy cards. It also said that they don't get anything in return, that they just see getting those cards as a means to get employment in the U.S...They see the money taken out of their check for SS, but don't question it because they know they're illegal, and if they come clean, then they have to hike back over the border. I don't want anybody here illegally as well. If the U.S. was really ever serious about terrorism, they would have maned-up the borders with more border soldier-I would think that if a terrorist ever did want to come into the country that via Mexico would be the easiest route. But, the US never did anything to the border, that's why I think this terrorism crap was never as big as it was after 9-11. I think they used all their 5 star blue chippers that day, but that's another discussion for another day. If Pubs were smart, they would realize that the illegal immigrants coming into the US via mexico could be a pipe load of votes for them if they ever wanted to tap into them. For one, they are very religous, and they are the "pull yourself up by your bootstrap" kind of people. They don't ask for goverment help-their scared shitless of the government. They really only depend on their families and friends. Just something for pubs to think on. I think its good advice, the smart ones already realize this, and are campaigning hard to get the latino vote.
                                Peace!
