How could two people actually vote that his religion was the reason why he did that? There's no where in the Muslim religion that says to kill Americans. I guess we better keep a watchful eye on Mike Tyson.

I voted No. I feel religion is just an excuse these days with a lot of these shootings. Sorry, but i do.

Trust me, there will be a lot more of this. Do these people that voted yes, know how many Muslims are in this country? I'm surprised they leave their house. "I heard Cassius Clay is signing autographs down the street, let's hide"

          The question reads:

Did Religion have anything to do with the Ft. Hood Shootings?
          • Hasan was passionate about teaching others about Islam

Hasan had been disciplined during his postgraduate work for proselytizing about his Muslim faith to colleagues and patients

Hasan felt that he had been mistreated in the Army because he was a Muslim

Hasan told the family “as a Muslim committed to his prayers he was discriminated against and not treated as is fitting for an officer and American

He said Muslims shouldn’t be in the U.S. military, because obviously Muslims shouldn’t kill Muslims

Dr. Val Finnell said that Hasan “equated the war against terror with a war against Islam.”

other allegations have come to light that indicate that Hasan was extremely angry and motivated by his religious views

Do I think he is a Terrorist? Yes, that is MY opinion

I based my answer on the question and what has been reported. No one for sure knows what the hell was going on inside this scumbags mouse driven skull

Great, so you voted, No, Cold Blooded Killer/TERRORIST. That's the right answer. There's no possible way you could think Religion was the main Reason, that would just be ridiculous.

How can anyone vote he's a Terrorist but say that religon had nothing to do with it? IMO these suicide bombers and shit like that is as much for religon as any reason. If he's a cold blooded killer then he shouldn't be looked at as a terrorist but just some sick piece of shit.

I would vote that religion might not have been the "MAIN" reason but it played a part IMO

he is a radical muslim. he should have his head chopped off or better yet let me throw some pork chops at him and then rub some bacon on him and then i'll burn his koran(sp) in front of him then put his head in a vice and turn til he explodes. I'll even do it for free. _

That's well over the top. Not that I necessarily disagree with your passionate hate for the man. Religion is a funny thing though. Would you feel it would be necessary to quarter an Irish Catholic and bury their body in different spots? Or to force a Hindu to consume beef? Or a hassidic Jew to consume non-kosher food? That's simply ridiculous Bry and I agree with your hate for the man I really do. In fact I'm also against radical muslim's however you are denegrating the religion from the base which is wrong. There are some Muslim's who are not crazed lunatics. This guy however was.

I believe that the man's religion has some culpability here. As the reports have shown that the major had ties to radical people within his religion. I think the conflict within the Major is what ultimately led to his irrational and destructive behavior. When someone in the military has compromised themselves to the point that they are no longer loyal only to their oath to "protect and defend the United States from both enemies foreign and domestic" they have become the very thing that they are sworn against.

The problem is not the religion on the whole it is the radicals that have turned this ideal into the war on islam. We didnt end up getting into this conflict in order to rid the world of Islam...We did it to try and stop terrorism from reaching our shores. We've learned that we suck at policing the world and that most of the rest of them despise us when we try. even from a peace keeping standpoint we always will be seen as good to some and not to others. Ron Paul has it right...Stay out of other people's business and we'll be better off on the whole.

PK i'd do whatever to whomever. Jew,catholic, hindu, muslim dont matter to me. I'd want to inflict the most painful, mean spirited, disrespectful act possible. Death isnt good enough. I'd want to humiliate them first. That way the final thing they got to see in life was me defacing what they cherish most. Its really simple.
