I disagree that these two are about as opposite as it gets...personally maybe, but not politically. Clinton was a lot more conservative politically than most people perceive. He was a fiscal conservative and indeed the economic outcomes of his presidency were very positive. As a matter of fact, he didn't live up to a lot of his liberal campaign rhetoric...rather worked pretty systematically to build up the federal surplus. By most economic indicators, the Country was in good shape after his 8 years largely because of his fiscal conservatism.

By opposite i was talking mainly about how they lived their lives.

I hear Clinton is one of the coolest, nicest, dudes ever. They say he can walk in to a room of people, meet someone he has never met before and 2 years later meet that person again and ask how their daughter was doing in soccer or something and say isn't she a Senior now. I guess he is amazing with people and remembering everything they tell him when they meet.

Yeah, I've had that conversation with friends before about who would be in your ideal golf group. Slick Willie would definitely be near the top of my list. He would be one of the coolest people I can think of just to hang out with and have a few drinks or play a round of golf.

i only go back to nixon, and i was pretty young then. carter was absolutely terrible, and obama is on the way there. all the others were pretty good. it's a tough call on w bush. he kept the country safe, but let govt get way too big and started the bailout crap that obama and the dem's have gone hog wild with both.
