He had to save aig and financial markets and he did and he saved us from the largest depression ever. If aig merrill lynch and the other banks and auto industry totally failed you guys would be lamblasting him left and right.

mm, you know what Rush meant, so don't do what the media did and spin this to mean Rush hopes our country fails. I don't have to explain this I don't think, but I will anyway. Rush, like many rational thinking people feel Obama is an extreme leftist and many think he is a socialist. Most conservatives like myself think the government basically fucks up everything......social security bankrupt, medicare bankrupt, etc.....and it has no place in trying to take over businesses, health care, every aspect of our lives.

So, if you have someone that you feel whose policies are bad for the country, of course you hope they (not the country) fail. Why would you want someone to succeed in doing things that you think will ruin the country? It makes total sense and there are tens of millions of people that feel the same way. We sincerely feel that Obama's policies need to fail in order for the USA to get back on track.
