Excellent point to make. Democrats are a VERY divided party right now with the struggle between the radical leftist leaders (Reid, Pelois, Obama) and the more moderate side of the party.
Look, most people are moderate. There is probably a 5% radical fringe on the right and a 5% radical fringe on the left. The problem for the Democrats is that radical fringe is leading their party and the country, where the radical right is not leading the Republican party. Of course part of that is b/c really nobody is leading the Republican party right now.
