Are you saying that the demand hasn't been increasing for the past decade?

There are also other factors besides the cost of oil that effects the price of gas.

I'm saying demand couldn't have been that much higher 2 years ago when gas was $2.50 to $2.60 a gallon.

Yeah like the Hurricanes we had last year. Oh wait; we didn't have any hurricanes in the past two years but the price still goes up. Remember they used that as an excusse for raising the price in 05 and when Katrina came through. Then they tell you every Winter we are looking at record cold weather so look for record gas prices and heating oil to go up. Then every Summer when they know most Americans are out and about they always find a way to raise the price as well, you hear it every year. You are right, there are other factors that go into it. Like lame ass people coming up with lame ass excusses to raise the price on gas.

I think that has more to do with it than them trying to get rich. The demand is outrageous with no end in site. I think we are headed for 4 and 5 bucks a gallon no matter who ends up in the White House imo.

first of all, this is not my idea. just an email I recieved. second, the fact that inflation has gone through the roof is a big factor to the rising cost of oil per barrell. really around 72 bucks a barrell. furthere more, even if its not feasible for this sudo idea to work, atleast we would boycott the top 2 corporations, it would have a slight effect on there profits, which would be something equal to a moral victory.

My friend who is a small oil producer says that China is a big part of increased demand over the last few years and will continue to be so.
