ok, 20%, I'm way off. I would be interested to see the %'s from 2001. I do know that all of the countries in the world combinded do not spend the amount of money we spend on our military-that in not spin, you can look it up if you'd like garth.

My whole point of this posting was, Guns don't kill people. Criminals kill people. Criminals will still find a way to come up with illegal guns. It's law abiding citizens like myself who would be hurt by gun control. My right to walk in my backyard and fire some rounds at a target would be illegal, but some criminal would still be able to get his hands on a gun and kill someone.

Actually it is the guns that kill people. Nuclear bombs don't kill people, it's the person that presses the red button that kills people. Obviously it takes the action to kill someone, but it's a hell of a lot harder to kill someone with a toothpick, than it is with a bomb.

With that reasoning, let's take away all knives, people do kill with those. Rope, twine, yep people kill with those.

You're missing my point. Criminals that kill WILL still find a way to get ahold of a gun.

Come on folks history has evolved with weapons, thank goodness the Germans/Japanese did not ge Nukes before we did. Yea, we bombed Hiroshima, to stop he war. Wait till the iraniun nut gets nukes, he cant wait to wipe out Israel. Maybe if Israel disarms, Iran will too???

You'll have to pry the shoulder-mounted grenade launcher from my cold, dead hands, Monte....or just steal it out of the bed of my pickup truck. I can't keep it in the cab any more since that unfortunate accident with an innocent passenger in my vehicle. What a mess. It was like a scene from Pulp Fiction.
