Many believed that OBL and Saddam would not work together due to Saddam's secular regime. They were not "sworn enemies". Who are they Superman and Lex Luthor?

Also Bush and Cheney never said that Saddam and 911 were connected. Cheney repeatedly made this point on Meet The Press as recently as last year. The Administration has consistently said that AQ operated and trained in Iraq and Saddam did nothing about it. Those opposed to the war have spun this to say "Bush lied and said that Saddam was responsible for 911."

I have no idea how much is true and how much isn't and neither do you but at least get your initial premise straight.

Saddam Hussein as stated by others was a sworn enemy of AlQuaida.....the United States government uses AlQuaida to scare the population...the attacks on Afghanistan were warranted because the Taliban govt was providing a safe haven for AlQuaida.

Funny thing is the United States government were the ones who empowered ALQuaida along with the Taliban in the early 90s as we were their ally in the early 90s fighting the Soviets.

Fighting terrorism is rather stupid anyways because you cant defeat it....terrorism is something that needs to be contained by 1. with better foreign policy and 2. better intelligence

Terrorism will be defeated once we dont hear about anymore because that means out intel is countering it before anything happens.

Do not tell me we have made anything weaker because for every so called terrorist you kill 5 more will pop up and fight for their cause no matter what me or anyone thinks how dumb their cause might be.

This is just another ploy by our government to show us that we are doing something productive in Iraq like 'weakening terrorists'.

The only productive thing that will be done in Iraq will be a full withdrawl but that wont happen until we are done doing whatever it is we are doing but dont tell me we are providing Iraqis with democracy or giving them freedom....thats bullshit
