You obviously have never had a dog in your life for an extended period of time....I had one with me for 15 years of my life and when it died I was in rough shape for at least a month...still think if him every now and then....only time I have seen my old man cry was when he died....like a human....just like a family member....Originally posted by grandmamayou sound like another outragous auburn fan. get over it. there are bigger problems in the world.

I said it before and I'll say it again.
Vick's sentence is a joke. While I don't condone his actions, there's far worse crimes being committed with more lenient punishment.
This country needs to analyze it's priorities when Leonard Little of the Rams, receives a more lenient punishment for killing another human than Vick received for killing dogs.
Little completed his sentence of 90 days in the city workhouse, 1,000 hours of community service and four years' probation in 2002. There's something seriously wrong with our system where one criminal receives 23 months for killing dogs while another receives 90 days for killing a human. Do we put more value on dogs than humans?

I have 2 dogs. I agree they're just like a family member. Once again I don't condone Vick's action. The dogs that he killed and tortured weren't family pets. While that doesn't excuse his crime as I stated above there's far worse shit going on. Why not take all the drug and crack dealers off the street and give them a 23 month sentence. IMO that's a far worse crime. But they're back on the streets within days. They walk the street with complete impunity. The cops know who the dealers are but do NOTHING.Originally posted by Chado1You obviously have never had a dog in your life for an extended period of time....I had one with me for 15 years of my life and when it died I was in rough shape for at least a month...still think if him every now and then....only time I have seen my old man cry was when he died....like a human....just like a family member....
