    Romney took Wyoming

Romney is said to be 6% pts behind McCain in New Hampshire. How the hell McCain is leading in the Republicans in NH is beyond me.

People trust McCain. I don't agree with everything he stands for, but I could live with him being in charge more than Edwards or Hillary. I just wish McCain would let the war thing go.

Both the Clinton and Obama camps had him up between 11-14%. So, how did Clinton pull off the upset? Two main reasons: the weather was not as cold as expected, so older voters got out and voted more, Clinton did much better with women 40+; second, and a bigger factor is that this was not a caucus. In a caucus everyone knows who you vote for because you are in a room, gym, etc., and you stand in the section for whom you want to vote for. Today in the primary you vote behind a curtain and your vote is private. Therefore, all the polling everyone did, Clinton camp, Obama, media had Obama wining by double digits. But, people lied to the pollsters, and when they got within the confines of their private voting booth they didn't vote for the black candidate. That played a huge factor. Iowa and New Hampshire are both 95% plus white. But in Iowa, where I worked for months on a campaign, voters find it harder not to vote for Obama because they're standing next to their neighbor. This is really fascinating stuff. And the campaign is going to be heated from here on out. By the way, if Romney doesn't place first in Michigan, he is done. His dad was the former governor, so he has that working for him, but in Michigan, independents can vote for either party, so that will help McCain tremendously, because most independent like him. What a night for political nerds.
