He was later drafted and died in Iraq serving in this useless war that our current dumb ass president has us involved in and was buried along with the other 3000 + dead soldiers who never made it back. Bet little David wishes his dad was still serving in the Hillary campaign...

There is no way in Hell that anything I read will turn me into any kind of Conservative. And I don't expect most of the Conservatives to change their affiliation. Although, I must say, that there were some fence sitting Conservatives that changed after the Republican backed gambling Bills that passed through congress.

My politics are based on years of reading and years of understanding what I believe is right or wrong about both sides. I chose my affiliation very carefully, even though my father was Conservative. My virtues and beliefs are deep seeded and will more than likely never change....

Can't recall one post that shows me backing the President. Assumption on your, and several others, part. I consider myself conservative on some things and a bit liberal on others. (with stem cell being at the top). Many other subjects I don't know enough about to formulate a belief. Which is why there was an attempt to open up lines of communication when responding to topics others have posted. But unfortunately, most posts are met with name calling, an inability to read and comprehend posts, an inability to take off party-colored glasses and actually looking at facts rather than opinions.
And just about all of my posts have the same point made about financial irresponsibiity. But obviously people can't grasp that and prefer to throw out accusations and names and call that dialogue. Really sad, and if this board is a microcosm of the general public, this country is in the shitter in the future; if not now. Who, on either side, would have the ability to unite?

Credit goes to Reagan for winning the Cold War. Clinton showed the most fiscal restraint while the Republicans are "supposedly" the more fiscally responsible.

Acually Mikhail Gorbachev ended the cold war. The gipper gets all the credit for it over here though, but he really played a bigger role in it. I hate when people say that about Ronald, like nobody else played a part in ending the cold war.

Read the posts and in order. I wrote he is given credit, not that anybody else did or didn't have a hand in it, or what Reagan's role was or wasn't. The discussion was about what role and perceptions are of previous administrations.

Maybe if your scumbag party didn't add pork (which both sides do by the way), to every bill, (as well as the war spending), maybe SSi would be more solvent longer.
If you are saying Reagan had NO role in the Cold War, I disagree. If you can repost where I wrote he won it himself, or what role he did or didn't have, I would appreciate it. The posts were in a chain of previous administrations and what their roles and perceptions were.
