There isn't anything this President can do to restore trust. Too much history, accusations, investigations, etc. But the one thing I will agree with apples on is there were many who have claimed of faulty pre-war intelligence. (both sides and accusations can be argued and not my point) and the failings of the intelligence community. Now they agree with the quality of the intelligence (conveniently when it supports their claims). So either there is a hypocritical stance on those evaluating the intelligence communities, (bad then, ok now), or the intelligence gathered and processed is better since pre-war (which would be a credit to the President). So my question is; Which is it?

I don't know the answer to this question so I will ask you. How many agencies had information that led us to war? And I am not being a smart ass in asking either. I don't know. But I find it problematic for any person/politician to now be touting the intelligence communities as preaching the gospel when information favors their causes, yet throws them under a bus when it doesn't. Remember most Democrats have said how poor the intelligence was, but now they believe them?

Yes a lot has changed. For one, Democrats have oversight on all the committees, therfore there is some actual oversight. When one party has control of all three branches there are no checks and balances. Now the media has woken up somewhat, and are not just the fucking lapdog that they were right after 911. Also, teh American public has gotten a lot smarter, and does not believe all the bullshit this administration tells them. It really sickens me that pubs still take up for this guy. Most real conservatives, the Barry Goldwater types, hate this man, and what he has done to their party. There is no reason to back him up. IF he does try to go into Iran, he will get impeached.
