  • Last nights debate

The YouTube debate does needs some tweeking. Might be better for the Repubs. It seemed that when the major topic came up, the so called top candidates would get the best question out of the set. Than the next set of questions from that topic would go to the other candidates.

Mike Gravel went after Obama, Clinton, and Edwards on taking special money and A. Cooper didn't wait to shut him up by calling time on him. He only got a couple of questions after that. He even called the debate unfair on stage and to be honest it was imo.

I like people who take a hard stand on the issues and attack the status quo. Guys like Kucinich, Tancredo, Paul, and Gravel. The debate before this one there was a guy from Obama's camp in the spin room. He made a comment on the so called bottom candidates. He said "The bottom candidates can be more outspoken on the issues because they need to be, because they don't have a chance to win" So does that mean that Obama and all the other so called top candidates are just saying what everyone wants to hear? You bet they are! And when they get elected all you are going to get is the same old shit! If you are looking for change in this Country don't look at candidates 1 - 4 look at candidates 5 - 8.

I'm not that crazy about it but it looks like a Clinton / Obama ticket would be pretty hard to beat.

The only thing I took away from the debate, other than fighting the urge to turn it, was how much they favored Hillary and Barack in terms of answering time. I didn't even see Kucinich talk for about 15 minutes.

I have a question for ya too. What is most Dems fascination with Darfur? I could think of about 50 topics more important than some killings going on in a third world nation, yet for some reason it came up during an American Presidential debate. For someone to even remotely decide their vote for President on that topic would be ridiculous to me.

I thought a lot of the questions were bad. It's not the first time Darfur has been brought up in the Dem debates though. There are a lot of things I'd like to see change in this Country as well, and I would to see them handled first. Genocide though, no matter where it's happening it's not good. If we needed diamonds as much as we needed oil we would be in Africa saying we are here to help stop the genocide. You are right though, the candidate that stands up for Darfur is not going to be the main reason I'm going to vote for that candidate.

I'm not crazy about Hillary, but everytime I see her, she does a great job in these debates. She's been through all this before. And it's not hurting that Bill (who might go down as being one of the best politicians ever) is right behind her calling the shots. Obama is too young imo but being the VP for 8 years will help. Then he can run for the office in 2016.

There is almost no doubt in my mind that Mrs. Clinton will get the Dem nod. Like ULA said she got the bulk of the questions and the best questions. I really don't see anyone close to her.

If Hillary gets the Nomination, get ready for 4 more years of Republican rule.

There are too many candidates running in the Repub field. Gilmore dropped out but you add Thompson and Newt who might run (Newt is going to be on Hannity tonight) you are back to 10, 11 candidates in that race. The Dems have 8 and most of them are not getting any time to talk. I wish they would split the candidates in half and let 4 or 5 come out for the first hour and the others for the second hour. That photo of Fred looks like he just came from taking a shit and the smell is following him.

the picture isnt good and your dead on with your assesment of how he looks

the reason i asked is my inlaws are staunch Democrats and they said they would vote for him. They hate republicans(and i am one) but they like him. Thats why i asked what the Democrats thought of him and why. I know little about him other than he was the prosecutor in law and order
