I never said we should up and leave. I am saying we are there.....we should see it through, whatever that may mean.....i do not see how 20k more troops will matter but i do not think we should leave until there is more stability....and if there isn't after 12 more months then we should leave.....we are fighting 4 wars there....shia vs shia....insurgency.....al quada and 1 more i forgot, but saw on a report for the war...

Monte, i am convinced that if i say black you say white....if the sun was out i would say sun and you would say moon....

How about this buddy....You are always right....you are so insightful and know everything......Does that do it for you?

Also show me where i ever said i support the war....I support our men and women, but have never once believed in this war....I, unlike you have the ability to say i was wrong (not this issue) and believe there are othere opinions other than what a party affiliation leads me to believe......You, my friend are just a kool-aid drinkers for the democrats....Funny, most entrepreneurs can think for themselves.....good night cheap shot artist

Tony I did notice that you mentioned that hussein out of power is worse for our country and I 1000 percent agree with you. But I also know that Bush's administration knew this could be a result of the actions we took and for some reason (unknown to mankind) proceeded with his course of action. Not only that but also knew if there was failure that iraq would become a breeding ground for al qaeda. So my next question is, WHY ARE SO MANY AMERICANS STICKING UP FOR THIS GUY????
Any insight on your thoughts? I would love to hear them. Take Care.

the only thing i can possibly think is that he underestimated this whole debacle. i also know that hindsight is 20-20. It is such a hard topic because none of us really knows the difference of what is political and what is really happening. All i know as an american i back our commander in chief (both parties) and hope to believe what they say is true....Unfortunately it was not. there was no WMD's.....I think the afghan war is where we should have been....instead of being thin in 2 places we could have put a hurtin on terror breeding grounds.

I think it is the American way to support the president, especially among the older generation. We did what we were told and believed in the gov't. Sometimes people want to believe....I certainly do not....But i wonder when is the right time to withdraw??? Is it now or do we let the iraqi gov't get more stable or is that just wishful thinking and are we pissing in a fan.....When we leave IRAN will become a big player there and it concerns me....Also pakistan concerns me since the PM there seems not to have the muslim majorities support....And we know there, regardless of what they say....religion supercedes national allegiance...and remember ,.....they have nukes and will launch on india if provoked....

None of us or the experts really knows, so lets be honest and stop pontificating and playing armchair general....I just hope whatever happens it is the right thing....or we could just have monte solve the whole thing....he knows everything......

Tony you are correct hindsight is 20-20 and im sure if most of us knew that the colts were going to win the superbowl we wouldve put a boat load on them. But when you deal with leading a nation unfortunately you dont have the luxury of being wrong. My own personal feeling here is Bush and his experts knew the outcome would come to this and there is a greater picture that were not seeing. No its not about oil as every other expert is saying its something much greater than that. We will never know I doubt but to speculate only makes us look foolish. Goodluck in your upcoming plays tony and thanks.

LMFAO cheap shot artist? LMFAO aren't you the one who took a cheap shot at me a few days back?

And I do believe you have stated the Democrats only want to cut and run. Then later you came in and said we need to get out. Are you sure you're not a Democrat

I never said we should just get out.....I said AGAIN.....i do not support the war, but IMHO to leave right now is too premature....i would like to see a 12 month stability plan and if the iraqi's can not swing that....too bad.....

I have voted republican and i have voted democratic....I see myself as a moderate conservative......But not party loyal....Oh by the way....i do not take cheap shots.....I have it in me to admit if i was wrong (unlike someone i know).......Monte, there is no doubt that you are very intelligent, but you are very stubborn & inflexible on your views and you seem to get off on "being right"....A hobby may be in order....ha ha!!! Also feel the need to ban me at anytime since i do not bet anymore, but like the guys here.....I know you have had an itchy trigger finger when someone disagrees so if you are looking for another notch fire away!!! Peace bro....

To me the war is not as cut and dry as you seem to make it.....Every decision is not Pro-Bush or Pro-Dem.....I will be the first to admit i have been torn this whole war....I do not agree on the premise we went to war on, but i have friends there and am pro-military....Also it is human nature to want to believe in the gov't. But Monte, please do not try to paraphrase what i have said, because i have never said to pull out now....I think that since we are there we must weigh the lesser of 2 evils.....staying and losing more troops or leaving and having the whole things crumble further......So please do not insult me anymore and say things i haven;t....

way to stereotype by party....I guess that means whatever the democratic party tells you to think you will think.....

if you were referring to me putting spin on something please find where i said i #1 support the war #2 support an immediate withdrawal.....I am at least being honest when i say i do not know the answers nor does anyone else....

Cut and Run! To say that I took a cheap shot and you didn't is absolutely absurd! You did take a cheap shot at me and you know it. By the way black and white is grey an area you have no concept with.
