  • Ways for Coming up with the offical Plays

Ok, guys everyone has submitted there plays.

So far the way were doing it is by taking each person's #1 play and using that as the play. If someone has the same #1 play as another peson we will move onto the #2 play and vote.

Other methods have been given on how to do the selections.

    A. Only submit 1 play per person
    B. Rate each play from 5 pts down to 1 pt then add the play totals up. Subtracting for plays that have the opposite team.

Please visit the forum at the bottom titled Hilton contest & Picks and post your thoughts as the plays are due in tomorrow so if were going to change it we need to do it now.

    My Take on Selections

I personally like rating all plays from 5 down to 1, then adding up all the selections from the team members & their total weighted points. Take the top 5 weighted plays. That's just my opinion. This way you more of the Team's feeling on the games. If 1-2 members run into a bad streak, it could knock us out of contention.

You also mean subtracting the opposite play rating too though right?

For instance someone has Indy as a 5 pt
Another person has Baltimore as a 3 pt

So Indy has a total of 2 pts.

I guess that would be correct! If 3 of us had Indy totalling 11 pts (4*,3*,4*), and 1 had Baltimore as a 2*, Indy would have a final rating of 9!

I like the A. method with a rotating list so everyone
                goes 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th on a rotating basis.

Here is my view of plays selections and the way that some of us have done it in the past. Rate your plays from 5-1 and add up the #'s for each plays and the one pick with the most is a play and on down the line. If we have a tie on the Packers then we will be notified and we have a tie vote on that game and any other play that has a tie. If this is the way that we do it, then we MUST have our plays e-mailed in on Wednesday of that week, to have enough time. This is the way that I have done it in the past and alot of other team's that have 5 guys do it this also. It seems to be fair and mathmatical correct ? Whichever way we choose to go.....Let's win this contest and meet in Hawaii to spend the $$$ !

Team BettorsTalk.com is using the Point System.

Team BettorsChat.com will be using the 1 play or 1 play per person.

We had each person pick one game per week in a rotating order for the 1st 15 weeks, meaning i pick 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th two times each. In weeks 16 & 17 we will have the guy with the best record pick 1st and the guy with the 2nd best record pick 2nd and so on. We all agreed that instead of arguing or voting for games that once each person picked a game that it was then considered off the board for the next guys in line, no questions asked. The 5th pick obviously has 4 less games to choose from but we will all be in that position twice.

I think this way is without a doubt the fairest way to do it.
