That was truly ugly...a 3 run lead evaporated and lose by 2 with one of your better pitchers on the mounds...bats came alive, yet your achilles heel came back to bite you...why howry?...i really don't get it...i picked the cubs as a true contender at the beginning but they are folding fast...only reason they are in is because of the horrible brewers...

i lost cash on these fools today in the last leg of a 4 team parley...urghhh...when will i learn...the cardinals are going to smack both of these putrid midwest team around....and i never saw it coming...

i feel for you cubs fans...hope it turns out better, but i just dont see it...and no, i am not hating, just furious at my stinking loss today...i think the cubs have a worse bullpen than atlanta, just a little better than pirates and giants...going to make it tough down the stretch...peace

They do have a good lineup. But we should have beat them with our #1 and #2 starter on the mound.

Its tough, cause we're not gaining ground while the Brewers are tanking, but we're also not losing any ground, and we still have a HUGEEEEEE three game series vs the Brewers coming up in a few weeks.

But now we have to worry about the Cardnals again and that just sucks so much ass.

that was a tough one again pappy. Getting the lead knowing the Brewers had already lost...I thought they'd get the job done.

The schedule favors us big time...there is no disputing that.

In september, we play the Dodgers in a 4 game series, and the Cardnals in a 4 game series. Those are the only two teams that are above .500 or in contention.

The Brewers season to me in my opinion hinges on the next 13 games. They finish today with the cardnals, then 3 vs cincy, but then a 9 game road trip....3 at arizona, 3 at san fran and 3 at our house.

It's a three horse race now, as bad as that is.....I think we are still the favorites to win the Central.

I am 100% in agreement with you.

Howry is just not surprising people with his two pitches. A fastball an equally fast slider that doesn't move anymore.

It's time to make the move.

I'm not giving up on Wood yet...I think a Wood 7th, Marmol 8th and Dempster 9th is still decent.

That is the problem with "old school" managers (no offense to Spark), they put too much faith on likes rather than doing the right thing...Larussa falls in this camp...Howry blows and has cost them so many games...go with the talent and who is it right now...you are in a penant race for gosh sakes...they should have had at least a 5 game lead over the Brewers by now...instead, they are fighting themselves and both Brewers and hard charging Cardinals...these last weeks are going to be something...but keep putting Howry out there, it all but guarantees tee times come October for the Chubbies...
