the cubs should trade Prior, Wood, Zam, Jones, Nevin, and all others with value.......you remember what the White Sox did like 4 yrs ago, traded all big name players at the break to re-tool the minors, and now look at them....they're built like a Red Sox or Yankee team........What a great ALCS that would be the Red Sox and White Sox......the yanks wont even make the playoffs with a 200 plus payroll....

The value would be in getting some suckers to take the contracts off the Cubs hands. Players in return should be secondary at this point. Just get out from under all that money....... BUT then again, would the Cubs spend it AND spend it wisely?
