So you were expecting a guy to come back (earlier then normal mind you due to more injuries) and make an immediate impact??

I'm not sure how much more you can ask from the guy other then for now NOT to hurt his wrist while he's still in effect re-habbing!

He was very vocal on how they played on Sunday vs Minnesota, as a leader should do.

I'm not saying today is the start of this miracle streak...but I'll take it. We needed it. Maybe it'll start something good for them...maybe it won't.

I saw Jacque Jones hit a routine fly ball to right field...and he hustled around first....right fielder dropped it and he ended up easily at second. How many times do you see guys just lolly gagging around pissed about making a certain out?

I also saw him hustle on the bloop hit by Cedeno, and scoring from first from it.

I saw Henry Blanco beat out an infield single, and leg out a triple!!

And I saw the leader of this team Derrick Lee lead by example by hitting a game tying home run in the 8th.

No, this is not the end all be all...but I'll take it. In a year where just about everything has gone wrong, and hell, still might....I can take this day and say I was proud of their heart, and their effort.

Criticize me all you want....won't change anything on my end.

I know that most of the time Wayne is just having fun with me because he KNOWS it gets to me at times. I understand that and it cracks me up after the fact.

Maybe I am a Cubs apologist....but I won't apologize for being so.

I am a realist...I know that the chances of them making a run at the playoffs are slim and none...but that doesn't mean I won't stop hoping.
