I thought long and hard about posting this and I'm sure some of you will say I'm wrong in feeling this way and I'm not the only one who dosen't get the response they would like. Maybe, but how many of you post plays that are winning at a better percentage than mine. I can't figure out what it takes in this forum to get a better response to my posted plays. Monday I posted a winning play with Florida and had one post in my thread. Tuesday my play on the Pacers lost when Chicago closed the game on a 32 - 6 run, after the Pacers were ahead by 17 points in the 4th quarter. That play got two posts until I posted myself what a bad loss that was. Tonight, however, I guess you can say it's the straw that broke the camels back. I posted a play on the Clippers +8.5 saying there is still money to be made in basketball. The Clippers won the game outright and my play got exactly ZERO posts before the game and ZERO posts after the game.
I put a lot of effort into my plays, always including a short writeup telling you why I like that play so you can decide for yourselfs if you want to follow them or not. Very few of you here take the trouble to include a writeup with all their plays. I also make it a point to only post plays that I think are special, which is why I sometimes will go a day or two without posting anything. I'm still playing plays that I like every day, but which I don't feel are good enough to tell you to play them. That's why my posted basketball plays, both full game and second half are 40-26 this season. THAT'S OVER 60% and most of you guys don't even play them. Last summer, I was posting my baseball plays and getting the same small response until I finally said what I am saying here. For the next couple of weeks I did get a much better response to my plays but then it got smaller and smaller. If my plays were losers, I could understand hardly anyone caring, but my baseball plays, all dogs or small favorites, were PLUS 21 UNITS with all plays just one unit. If I had made all my baseball plays 5 units, like some of you do, my plays would have been ahead 105 UNITS. And after winning at baseball, it bothers me when guys have been asking who to follow in baseball and not one time have my plays been mentioned. What the fuck does it take.
I'll be honest. While I don't like seeing anyone here losing hard earned money and I really do post my plays to help them win money, I also post them because I have an ego that likes to be stroked like I think almost all of you do too but shy away from saying it. I like being told thanks when my plays win. I think winning over 60% of my plays is worth acknowledging and at my age, not being able to play competitive baseball and softball anymore, there isn't much left I'm good at. I found a couple of other forums where I want to see if my plays are received with a better response than here at Bettors Chat.
I know who the very few of you are who were following my plays and I appreciated your wishes and comments. I have no bone to pick with anyone here and I would be proud to call any of you my friend. But I guess I'm about to find out if the other forums are as friendly as Bettors Chat.
