A Movie Review ….. by Coverboy The Critic
"Sleepless in Seattle" is a decent film, but coming in September is " Clueless in Kansas City " starring Herm Edwards. I saw the trailer and it's about a mentally challenged coach who makes all the wrong decisions and still manages to find work in the NFL … in spite of himself. And also he has a serious speech defect. He falls for some ham and egger named " J Harrington " who happens to be worst QB to ever play in The NFL.
A relationship ensues.
Harrington is a known homosexual who has a history of sleeping around with team management so that he can keep his job . He and Edwards wind up in bed together ... with both of them crying uncontrollably. At this time it is revealed that " JH " participated in a threesome with a gorilla named " Millen " and some clown named " Mariucci "
I suppose one could say that the film is a comedy / tragedy.
It comes out this September in all major US cities.
The peviews on this film have been dreadful and it will probably fail miserably and be yanked from the theatres in late November.

--Where I grew up we had to steal in order to eat ( not to mention the beverage expense ) … In fact we had to steal in order to tip . I stole an extra 20% which made me a big favorite with the waitresses. Sometimes they showed their appreciation by slipping me extra fries and an occasional side of slaw.
--Home invasions ? … Fogettaboudit !!!!
If a house was dimly lit by cheap owners who refused to use bulbs of at least 100 Watts at the point of entry , we'd go in and cowboy the joint until it was ours …
Why ? … if for no other reason it was out of CONTEMPT FOR THE WATTAGE.
--And some homeowners are just plain sooooo stupid … they'd buy these cheap smoke alarms … you know … the one's they sell at Home Depot for peanuts … backed by a money back guarantee … IMAGINE … A MONEY BACK GUARANTEE FOR A SMOKE ALARM !!!! … How incredibly ridiculous !!!
Picture a man going into Home Depot one day and yelling at the customer service person :
" Your smoke alarm was defective and my $899,000 Colonial was burned to the ground …. I demand my $29.99 back and I want it right now !!! "
But I wasn't quite like the others in my gang … I would actually become racked with feelings of guilt during a heist. Like once we took this score and the home had an inferior alarm system . I almost was in tears !!! So the very next night I broke in again and ( at my own expense ) installed a combination smoke / carbon monoxide detector and wired it into a security system … Hey I felt bad so I figured it was my obligation … It was really a good one though … It operated 24 hours a day, and sent a signal to alert the fire department if it is sounded. So … after I finished the job I sat back on their easy chair and had a smoke … and was arrested 10 minutes later. I got off light because the judge was impressed with my sense of civic - mindedness.
-- Once we took down this pork store in Brooklyn and walked away with a cool 40 pounds of veal cutlets … but then we spent every last dime we had on a tremendous amount of breading, tomato sauce, and mozzarella .
So how would I sum up my teen age life of crime ?
I would say that on balance , CRIME DEFINITELY DOES PAY … the hours are good … sleep late .... you get to travel a lot … meet interesting people along the way. I would definitely recommend it for any youngster as a way to pick up some extra cash and some valuable experience ….. before going on to Law School.

3 WISE MEN BASEBALL 2006
Baseball starts in a few days and I'm debating whether or not to post the 3 Wise Men Plays right from the gate. We usually wait close to a month before jumping in. If I do post, the caveat will be not to play the selections for the first few weeks until the stats come rolling in and there is some semblance of form among the teams. Believe me, we will know when to pull the trigger, so if I post from day 1 , it will be strictly for the purposes of keeping you informed day to day as to how things are shaping up. I won't be wagering until I have the definite feeling that the time is right to jump on in.
I'll discuss this with Kaptain over the weekend.
Many players get a little too "enthusiastic " over the start of a new season ( in any sport ) , overplay it and fall behind. Build wealth slowly and methodically. ( In general those who go through life just looking for that quick "score " wind up holding their dicks in their hands at age 45 ) So for Godsakes start forming a long term plan , both in your life's work and in your business of wagering.
We hear the all too often used saying : " Wagering is a marathon , not a sprint " … This applies to baseball more than any other sport … there are seven months of games , April through October , and if you PRACTICE THE ARTS OF PATIENCE AND CONSISTENCY all good things will fall into place.
The 3 Wise Men Formula is now entering it's 10th season and has won in each of the first 9 . There will be close to 1000 plays. Why so many ? We play EVERY GAME in which we have a definite edge … the greater the edge , the the higher the rating. If you believe in playing 1-2-3 games per day tops , I'd suggest you limit your choices to our TOP DAILY PLAYS which hit 80% last season.
There will be middling opportunities ( we love middles ) and many run line wagers which have proven to be very powerful in the past.
Run Line Wagers … know the Golden Rule beforehand !
THE CARDINAL RULE ….. WE NEVER LAY 1 ½ RUNS WITH A HOME TEAM … WHY ? … With so many games being decided by 1 run it is suicidal to wager on a team which in many instances will have 8 turns at bat vs. a team with 9. While you may get away with it at first , it will be a long term losing proposition to defy this rule …. Trust Us on this one.
However in many instances , Laying 1 Run with a home team is quite acceptable. Our good friend Chucky Cheese is a huge advocate and does quite well with this tactic.
THERE WILL BE NO INTERLEAGUE SELECTIONS for 2006 … as these glorified exhibition games have proven to be non profitable for us in the past 2 seasons. If you follow 3 Wise Men exclusively , you can expect to take some time off this summer. I believe there will be a 2-3 week stretch of Interleague games starting in mid - June and extending to early July and we will not touch them. There are other BC members who have a knack for picking these games successfully … it's just not our cup of tea. ( We will handicap these games to see how we would have fared and Karl and I will discuss the results )
One final word … Go all the way with us … or anyone in Bettor's Chat whom you choose to follow.
Last season we were up and down for the first half of the season … sure we showed a profit but Interleague helped dilute the gains. Many of our regulars in The 3 Wise Men Camp " jumped ship " after the All Star Game . It was the wrong decision . We went on a phenomenal run 2 weeks after that where we went 90 games over .500 net net …. Vig is always included in our record. Many of the guys missed the boat … and a small fortune.
That's why we stress patience and discipline.
Football pre - season starts the end of July but that is no reason to back away from baseball … Bases are "The Mother Ship " and create bankrolls for football. Please do not abandon MLB.

So this morning I went to the bank ( no I didn't put my tongue up some chick's ass … sometimes I do but not today … it was strictly business , not recreational )
So I'm on line and these 2 guys were in front of me talking about their hunting exploits .
Right away I'm aggravated because I HATE LINES. Now I find myself behind these 2 Putzes.
So they're going back and forth about who caught what and who killed this and that and with what weapon and of course a big pissing contest ensues … ( these hunters … go figure ! It's like one big exaggerated fishing story , only with 4 legged victims. )
So they're playing " I can top this " and finally one guy says he just got back from Wyoming where he killed a 6 pointer …. Not sure what a 6 pointer is … probably an elk or antelope with 6 horns on his head ??? … Antlers ?
Anyway he asks his friend to guess what he used to kill the 6 pointer … And I just couldn't resist !!!
I leaned forward and said :
YOUR CAR !!!!
Everyone on line cracked up … except the guy … even his friend was laughing at him.
I was laffin out loud ( I do that to myself sometimes … make myself laugh ) so now this guy thinks he's going to stare me down .
Bad Move !!!
I took one long look into his eyes and determined that unless this PUTZ had a Tommy Gun or a bow and arrow in his hands … or a machete to kill some poor defenseless creature of God … he is of no threat to me ( if you know what I mean )
Anyway just then the teller called out " NEXT " … the putz turns around and trips on his shoelace …. It was the fucking BEST !!! … He tried so hard not to fall down but he did.
As he was falling he said : Ooooffffffffaahhhhhhh !!!
Now everyone ( including his friend ) is laughing again at this JAG - OFF.
