Regarding Closing of Service Play Threads

It is about the $$$ though....I feel like all the books were gonna pull their ad money if we continued to posts plays here. It was even said in this thread by monte that the books have affiliations with the sports services, and did not want to see their plays posted on forums...When anyone says it's not about the money....Its ALLWAYS about the money. Sad to see the services section go. Good luck, hope the forum continues to do well. I loved it here...bye fellas

you could not be more correct. the cappers on this site are far better than any service. it will be much easier to access the site, especially during football. good decision. alot of trouble seem to come from that thread.

I will concede that yes $$$ always has something to do with many decisions, however on this one I think you're thinking of it too "mysteriously." The main point here has to do with how many freaking people come here SOLELY to refresh the service plays thread multiple times daily. These members really don't contribute, all they do is take up bandwidth which costs Monte MONEY. That's where the $$$ comes in, why should he let all these scavengers tie up the site on his dime? It's really not his responsibility, and this decision needed to be made (I'm guessing) with ample time remaining before football gets going in full swing, that's when this place gets very very frustrating for the members that post on this site and visit it year round, only to realize they've been taken over by service seekers!
