I didn't say they were doormats, but they are not BCS power houses, that is for sure. I guess the Motor City Bowl or whatever they played in may be ok.

I am not arguing, I enjoy talking sports, just don't agree with you here. I am just saying they didn't play much defense against good teams last year. I gave you the facts on what my take of good teams on their schedule last year. You feel the Meineke Car Care Bowl participants such as a down Miami team, MTSU and KSU are good. I disagree. I feel when they met quality teams they let up 27 a game, that would be not much defense in my book

I am just saying this, when you factor in the strength of those which you played, looking at it, the real teams put some points up:

Kentucky 28
Cincy 17
WV 34
Rutgers 28

That is an average of 27 points a game.

The other teams are sort of inferior teams last year.

Pitt, Uconn, MTSU and Syracuse all put some up on you (average of 18 PPG) and these teams all weren't very good.

Temple is a doormat, KSU and USF are up and coming programs but nothing great, and Miami is down.

So I guess I see it more as letting up 27 a game against better competition.

love ya buddy......I can only do this until about 6 pm tomorrow when we get plastered by Penn State...so let me have my fun.

After last week I would tend to agree, but that is a lot of points to give up to a proud program who is pissed. I will be staying away from that one.

Bill, did i say we were stellar. No i didnt, and WVU didnt have any injuries.

My point is, dont make statements that we never played any D, cause that is not factual. 15 point average for any Div 1 defense is good, no matter how you shake it

If any of you want to bang on the Cards for their Defense this year; have at it, i wont argue. NO ONE here is more disappointed in that team right now than I am.
