Best team is Hendrick which is Gordon,Johnson,Dale jr and Casey Mears. They drive a Chevy and even though they are teamates when there are 10 laps left in a race and there running in the top 5 its each man for his self. Second best team is Gibbs(joe gibbs team the former Redskins coach)which is Tony Stewart,Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin. They drive Toyota which is new and never one a race in Nascar YET!!
36 race season and the first 26 races decide if you make the chase(the playoff of Nascar)They take the top 12 in points or if your within 400 points of the leader. All the other cars still run in these last 10 races but the Championship is decided by the top 12.Come to the U.S and watch a race and you will love it.Me and KB might can get you laid
That helps a bit but is still confusing as hell.....

Dont push it. I have a better chance of winning the powerball and mega millions in 1 week than Chado has at getting laid.

1.) How often are pit stops used and are they strategic?

Pit stops are used for gas or tires or both. There isn't any "mandatory" pits. Depending on track position, you will usually pit under cautions for tires and gas, but not always

2.) WTF is a damn COT?
The COT stood for "Car of Tomorrow" It has been a 5 year or so process of evolutionizing the car to make it safer and cheaper for the teams. It is in use full time this year.
3.) WTF is a damn plate race?
A plate race is a track where they use a "restrictor plate" that is placed over the carbeourater sp? to sap horsepower from the engine. They do this to keep the speeds down so if a car was to go airborne, it wouldn't hop the catch fence and fly into the crowd. There are only 2 superspeedways (4 races) where these are used. Daytona and Talladega
3.) S drivers are part of a team going against other teams of drivers or something?
There are different "teams" on the same team. For example, Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Casey Mears are all owned by Hendrick Motorsports. They are called "teammates" They supposedly help each other out on the track, but they are each in it to win the race for themselves.
4.) Why do different drivers use different types of cars (i.e. Dodge, Ford, Toyota)?
Certain owners have contracts with differenct manufacturers. The manufacturer gives money and research and development for the teams.
5.) Are the teams of drivers all using the same kind of cars and are they competing for their team to have the most speicific drivers from their team win the most races by the end of the season?
Yes, the same "teammates" have the same manufacturer of cars. Although the "setup" of a car is different for every driver. Rule of thumb, is the looser the setup, the faster it goes.
6.) I watched the end of the race on Sunday and dont understand what caused the drivers to get passed and shit? Like is one car slower than the other or did they not drive it accordingly to the slope of the track causing them to slow down?
At plate tracks like you watched at Daytona, the draft plays an integral part of going somewhere. The cars all go about the same speed because of this "restrictor plate" Thus 5 cars running together in a straight line are faster then 3. The cars "bump" each other to give each other "pushes" to get by the other cars
7.) Are the odds based on how high they finished in the pre-race or whatever the day before? And if so WTF does that have to do with anything should they all tie?
Odds are based on a lot of factors. Previous experience at the track, how well they have done, qualifying, practices speeds, momentum. Basically, I could tell you who the favorites are for the most part week after week.

Basically I am so confused about all the basics in general and if I am gonna get into this shit I at least need to understand WTFis going on out there other than just simply cars racing?!?!

Hope this clears some stuff up Whew... lol

How can you hate Jr? He's just a good ol' southern redneck who can drive a car.

COT was used at all tracks under 1.5 mile in length except for the October race at Talladega

How you doing KB? Sorry for your hendricks collapse. They should change their sponsors to Target, so that way everyone can aim a little better to knock them off the track
