We have great health care services in this country if you have a lot of money. We spend a far greater percentage of our gross domestic product on health care than any other Nation on Earth. But we still have about 45 million Americans who don't have access to even basic health care services. And I'm not talking about homeless people or people who don't work. I'm talking about a lot of hard-working Americans that are uninsured or grossly underinsured and can't afford it. Is there something wrong with that picture? I don't want to start a political debate but wasn't this her baby when Bill was elected to his second term? This was part of his platform. She was supposed to overall and improve the system then.
Hillary did spearhead a proposal for a comprehensive overhaul of the health care system. It was called the Health Security Act. It didn't pass Congress.
