Urgent Please Read/respond!!!!

well im back from the specialist. aparently i'm a prime candidate for surgery. yuck. i have a fully hernated disc in my lower back. MRI showed that. the disc is effecting my sciatic nerve. Dr said if i wanted i could try a cortizone shot 1st. which is the route i'm gonna go with. he said it prolly wont cure anything but he wasnt positive. so as of now i'm scheduled for a shot in a couple weeks. then it will be another month or so, and if i'm not any better i'll prolly go under the knife!!

That sucks Bry. My best to you and hope for a speedy recovery. Sounds like a lot of good feedbeack from folks on the board, do what you think is right, but listen to what is being said. You will bounce back!

Damn it Bry ... Not good kid ...

Forget the shot .. if it works it will only be temporally ... Nothing you can do but have the surgery ... you are young and you will heal nicely .. you do have a long haul ahead with rehab ...

when you told me the pain went down to your foot I knew right there you were in trouble ... what I do not understand is why your Dr is making you wait for 2 months ...

That sucks....My mom is disabled with degenerative disc's in her back. Doctors stuck her on Oxycotin and that shit fucked her up bad. She finally got off of it and just suffers with the pain. I hope and pray things get better buddy

Damn Bry ... The cortizone shot is worth a try but i think it is just a PAINFUL extension of what will be surgery anyway. Cortizone shots hurt like a bastard in my experiences and they were all for not. What a double negative on the heels of the Shit Bowl. If you need anything, let us know because i know what you are going through and from my experiences it can be very scary, unsettling and nerve racking. It's going to be even tougher in the next month or 2 going through that so try to be positive. Trust me Bry, Depression WILL set in if it hasn't already. They wanted to put me on meds for it and i said no but the depression all of the pain and unknown causes is real and not easy at times. I had a "Rock" with me in my fiance so hopefully you have the same in Kelly. Keep your head up and we'll be thinking of you.

yeah it does suck. i feel like crap. and its not just from the pain. i really dont know what to do? mentally i'm drained. thank you for your continued support. you all are great. And someday if i had the chance i'd like to shake each of your hands and buy you all a drink. thanks again. i'm trying to keep positive.
