I have a 10 hp MTD. Bought it in 1997. Change the oil and spark plug every year, skid plates every other year. We get 75+ inches of snow a year. Save your money Dimer. I own a John Deere and a Toro lawn mower. I do believe that it's better to spend money on a good mower, snow blower? Off brand is just fine.

No this is not a joke. Im looking at Troy-built as I've had a troy built lawn mower for 10yrs now and havent had a single problem with it.
