Freeze the buns. The meat has so much processed crap in it you could leave it out for months and it wouldn't go bad.

No joke....the staff on howard stern left a mcdonalds cheeseburger sit out on a desk in office for like a year...I believe only the bun was moldy and hard. The burger looked fine..lol
