I was at Barona a month ago, the other crazy thing was, you can only buy beer on the front nine, and only 2 at a time so you can't stock up for the back nine. Then they had just the one place to get beer in the casino, back in the one hamburger joint, but you can't leave with the beer, have to drink it there. I agree, very strange, but I loved the fast greens there. Lost my ass on the craps table

I lost my ass on the blackjack table. at least I got my room comped.

Garth, did you happen to stay at the Hotel Del Coronado? We went out there and had a meal, I thought the place was fantastic! Lots of history and beautiful beach. I'm gonna take my wife there sometime. Or my girlfriend, havn't decided which one yet.

no we just stayed at the Marriott while on Coronado Island. I'm attending a meeting in January at the hotel del Coronado. will stay there then.

Wow, that's crazy. Do they have your leg on a machine to move it around? They use to use those after knee replacements before you put weight on it.

Yea, I have one of those CPM machines that bends it. Up to 85 degrees on that thing from starting at 40. It's a hell of a lot better than when I first started.

Morning boys... took a few days off and went to San Diego with my wife. Played a couple of nice courses, the course at the Barona Casino and Resort in the hills up north of SD and the Coronado Golf Club on Coronado Island. Coronado GC is an outstanding public course! lush fairways, greens that roll true, palm trees, nice layout. and the green fee was 40-something! If you're ever looking for a nice casino resort to stay for a few days, I'd recommend Barona. Really nice hotel, outstanding service, excellent restaurants, good table games, nice golf course, etc. The only thing that was really weird...there was no alcohol on the casino floor! I ordered a double Ketel on the rocks at the blackjack table when the waitress came around and she looked at me like I was crazy. Isn't a casino without alcohol kind of an oxymoron?

Have you started PT yet? I would think that has to start here pretty soon. Your gonna miss an entire summer of golf aren't you? Damm! Well the courses will save a lot of money for not having to follow you around and fix all your divots and balls marks.

Barona is on a Indian Reservation. We have a couple in our area that are completely dry, so it wasn't a big shock to us.
