-Today I am feelin alittle spunky...and this is what my write-up will reflect as I speak to my alter ego, who is playing devils avocate with me....LOL...If you cant handle it, then dont read on....Now with that disclaimer out of the way...
Fvck Rutgers!...The Cards should roll in this game...WHY?...Because of a little thing called balanced offense with a quality QB....and also a thing called Speed on defense...But woooo nelly, not only speed on Defense, but also depth on the defense, especially in the trenches where it all counts as well, Beatch!....
The Knights are all hyped up, but like Teddy Bruski said, Cum-On Now!...These Cards, if you forgot smoked them last season...And, ass spankings like that doesnt change over night.....Furthermore, these Knights already know that they will not last in a shootout with the Cards, one Iota...So if it heads that way, then the Hype will turn into quick Panic fast Beatch!
So what the hell are the Knights going to do?...Well, the same shit they were doing all year long..and that is run the ball on offense, because their QB is no way even remotely adequate enough to carry the load for them...But, why should he be...with that solid running game they got right now?....Well Beatch, remember who Louisville played last week....Remember that running game they faced....Well for one thing, Rutgers doesnt have is a running QB like WV has, which keeps defenses honest....Rutgers doesnt run a spread option attack which forces defenses to play discipline ball first then attack second...which btw, for most, its to late once White and Slaton hits the hole to attack...So based on this laymens terms I am using in this write-up...what the hell does that mean inregards to the Cards gameplan ...Well, ahhhh, hmmmm, ummm...Shut the hell up!....WHAT IT MEANS IS THEY WILL SIMPLY STACK THE FVCKING LINE AND SHUT DOWN THE FVCKING RUN BEATCH!.....Plain and Simple!..Put the ball in QB Teel hands and let him lose the game for them....And believe me, he easily can if that running game is not producing shit...Still, even if they can run somewhat..QB Teel will still need to pass enough times to keep a balance attack and force the Cards to play both disciplines....But, that is Not going to happen all game long....Why?....Did you see Uconn game vs the Knight, they couldnt even do that effectively enough even with a dd lead on the Huskies Beatch!....
So you tell me wise ass, what's the gameplan on offense for the Cards?.....Well, hmmm, ummm, ahhh, hmmm....Enough with the hmmm, ahhh, and ummm Beatch!....The gameplan is simple...do what you do best....Last week against the #3 team in the land they did just that....How?...By running and gunning ..moreso with gunning it to their big and tall WRs....Can Rutgers do a better job than WV in stopping this accurate and efficient passing attack by Brohm and company.....HELL NO!....Why am I sooo sure of this you ask?....Well, hmmm, ummmm, ahhhh, LOL....Just kidding.....I am sure cause Jesus says so, thats why Beatch!
Ok lets get serious and look at the numbers to further back up this play on the Cards....First off, Rutgers high defensive rankings, especially against the pass where they are ranked 1st in the land...is a total misrepresentation of their true abilities...So far this year, these are the passing attacks that the Knights have faced....NC ranked 84th in total passing yards....Illinois ranked 70th.....Ohio ranked 107th.....Howard...WHO?......S Florida ranked 65th.....Navy ranked last in the nation....Pitt ranked 36th.....and Uconn ranked 115th in the land in passing offense....Besides Pitt, I gotta say please give me a freakin break...And, the only reason why they were able to stop Pitt was due to Pitt's offense being to one-dimensional, relying on Palko to do it all.....The Knights has the #1 pass defense in the land....FVCK THAT BULLSHIT!
Now...this is who they will be facing...First, they will be facing one of the best QB's in the land, and a guaranteed first round draft choice, in QB Brohm...who leads the 18th ranked passing offense....The 24th ranked passing offense in completion % at 63.2%....The 7th ranked passing attack per game...averaging 289.4 ypg....And, the Cards are also tied for 7th in the nation with the fewest sacks given up as well...Does any of the Knights previous opponents come even remotely close to these numbers or to QB Brohms abilities....HELL NO!
Ok, that is the right hook by the Cards...now heres their solid left hook, which makes it all possible...The Louisville running game...Yep, even without All-American RB Bush in the backfield, the Cards were still able to pound it out on the ground to the tune of 5.5 ypc...203.3 yards per game average...and 26 TDs as well...Solid!....Rutger's sports #1 defense in the conf vs the run...but again, the majority of the teams they faced, although some possess solid running attacks...they were also very one-dimensional offenses...which made defending them an easy thing to do....However, this will not be the case against this Cards balance and potent attack that can knock you out with either the run or the pass....Balanced Offense is a big Key to Louisville controlling this game....
Rutgers strength on offense is running the ball...however, Louisville's strength on defense is in stopping the run, ranking 17th in the land in total rushing yards allowed...They also have only allowed 3.3 ypr and also just 105.3 ypg as well...Now, I know that people will get all excited about the fact that Louisville in their last game vs WV gave up a whopping 353 rushing yards at 7.1 ypr also...But I again say, Not so fast Beatch....WHY? ...Because Rutgers may have a solid runner in Rice...but they dont have a duel running threat like WV with QB White...Big Difference!...
When the Cards stack the line to shut down the Knights running game...that is when it will be up to QB Teel to keep moving the chains through the air....Problem is, Rutgers passing offense is ranked a pathetic 116th in total passing offense in the land....Rutgers passing offense is ranked 6th to last in the nation with just 11.4 completion average per game...Rutgers pass attack is ranked 4th to last in passing yards per a game, averaging just 128.1 ypg....only scored 6 passing TDs to 8 Ints...They also are only completing just 54.8% of their passing attempts as well...Not enough Beatch!
What we seen in last weeks game vs WV, who btw, has a better passing attack then the Scarlet Knights...was that even with their #2 rush offense gaining a lot of yards on the ground against the Cards defense....they still needed to put it up inorder to continue keeping the Cards offense off the field....When that didnt happen, they were not able to stop the potent balanced attack of the Cards from moving it at will up and down the field on them....Can Rutgers all of a sudden find a defense to contain these Cards...maybe so...But still, their lack of a balance attack on offense will be their downfall, and especially cause their passing game wont be able to attack the Cards secondary with any type of consistancy...Heres more comparisons...
Side Note: Louisvile averages 39.4 ppg....vs Rutgers 29.3 ppg..
Side Note: Louisville completion rate on 3rd down is 50.5%....vs Rutgers 43.8%.
Side Note: Louisville 1st in the conf in passing offense.....vs Rutgers ranked last.
Side Note: Louisville ranked 2nd in the conf in rushing offense, ypg, TDs and ypc....Rutgers Not!
Louisville's offense is to balanced...Louisville offense is humming on all cylinders...and with QB Brohm coming off a near perfect game...not to mention, possessing the ability to win this game on his arm alone...He is the big Key for their success in this game and Rutgers lacks a QB like Brohm running their show, will spell trouble for them...especailly after seeing how Brohm shredded the Mountaineers defense, completing 19 of 26 passes for 354 yards and a TD....If that shit doesnt scare these knights...well, it will once they see that Louisville's coaching staff will keep the offensive pressure up and not become conservative with the lead...just like they did against WV...When this happens, the Knights will have to go airborne and that again, will spell trouble for them...
Another factor that is also working against these Knights...is the fact that they have a young corner and this game is needed for the Cards to reach that national title game...of which they need to win impressively to help their cause....Lastly, working against these Knights is also the fact that they are no longer a sleeper or a team who is overlooked...Their time sneaking up on teams is done, due to last seasons success and bowl appearance vs Ariz St...So thinking that the Cards will come in over-confident cause they already beat this team last year 56-5...or because they had that big win over WV is something that I just dont see happening at all....Rutgers possess both a threat and a stepping stone to their national title hopes...so who has the bigger target on them....Well, I say its the Knights Beatch!....GO CARDS!
PS: I like this quote I read regarding the hype surrounding Rutgers..."I think it's a reaction that's in many ways almost an overreaction." ...In my opinion, and Overraction is something that people are doing regarding Rutgers...
