Love Doc et/al
Doc nice write up----I read everyones points, and all have valid points expressed........
I'm 64 years old, still active in working regular and steady, of my own choice, and I too spend a lots of time here at the Forum........
MCP brings out the major reason for a forum of this type, and what it was intended for......I agree, but this one has surpassed that one criteria of just winning, and they do it well......This one is more family oriented than the others....I find my self being friends with many on here, and have become real close friends with several here......I try not to mix the two up (friendship/gambling) so as to where it confuses me..hard to do when the bickering and childish ass crap talk starts.....but they eventualy work things out..........
I personaly find it relaxing to me, to get away from the daily fast paced life I life, with everyone picking my brain, and wanting me to solve their problems.....But thats the career I chose, and deep down, I love it, I just get tired and aggravated a lil easier today than I used to.....
I love to see the picks here, post mine, and read all the posts I possibly can......I call this my time---me only time---I can then go into the Living Room and pick up a conversation with the wife, who seems to always have something to say, go to Dinner, go shopping, go to a movie, or plan things with the GrandKids......and then do em........
I love my gambling, always have, it's a challenge to me to beat the oddsmakers, and we all know that is hard to do.......I especially love it when I have had a good wagering day, and also a good conversational day with my forum buddies...and by the same token, it bothers me when we have a pissing contest going on here.......
Valid points from all, but I think each person has to balance their own time, between the Forum, and all other activities as they see fit to further enjoy them selves.....
I also have a very understanding wife, who has always given me my space, and my time, and I have never neglected her, kids, or grand kids for my own benefit.........My Wife and Kids always cme first for 40 + years, now it's the Old Mans time to do what he enjoys......
Family----working-----sports/forum herea at BC----and I dropped down the following---bowling---golf---card games (regular basis) to allow me time for the first 3.....
I reiterate (thats repeat JC)---all have valid points, and well accepted, but it's in the "eyes of the beholder" (all different) as to how much time one spends on the Forum, and for what reasons......
But I will admit, it can get to be habit forming, cause many a times, when I'm not on here, I'm wondering what's going on...
Best to you all----lets keep harmony and sing in unison----kapt
