my book has mora -110 and manfredo -120...
Chuck are you leaning towards Mora?
I'm betting Mora $11.60 to win $10.00, makes the fight a little more fun for me to watch!! Although Mora just fought the other night and could very easily get tired!! But for $1,000,000.00, this should be entertaining!! I'd like to see it called a draw!

haha... I was thinking of doing the same thing. I liked Alfonso Gomez from the first episode (when he called out Manfredo and then beat him!), and with him gone, I'm pulling for his buddy in Sergio. Hopefully, the Latin Snake can slither to a million!

Chuck....you got to remember that the show was finished taping months ago and tonight's fight goes live. So both Mora and Manfredo have had a few months to prepare for tonight's final.

Huge action sways odds for The Contender
Ryan Stetson
Heavy action is forcing oddsmakers to change the favorite for tonight`s $1 million dollar bout to be featured at 9 p.m. ET on the popular NBC reality show The Contender. Sergio Mora was slated as a –130 favorite for the fight early Tuesday, but public money coming in on Peter Manfredo has moved this seven round tilt to a pick ‘em at most online sportsbooks.
“The early money was on Mora,” says Peter Childs, oddsmaker at Sportsbook.com. “We went as high as -130 on him, but the late money has been on Manfredo and we`re back at pick`em.

“That’s based on the fact that Manfredo looked so good in his final fight and we expect the public to be on Manfredo. We`re dead even on the fight.”
The line could keep moving as money continues to roll in on the much-hyped fight to be held at Caesar`s Palace in Las Vegas. The show`s popularity has translated into major betting dollars rolling in from bettors who might not ordinarily wager on boxing.
“Can you remember the last time a fight was live on major network during primetime hours?” Childs asked. “I can`t. I expect us to write more action today than we do for a major Title fight.”
Manfredo, who was ranked the No. 3 junior middleweight in the world by the World Boxing Organization before the show began, lost his first fight of the competition to Alfonso Gomez Jr. However, Manfredo was voted back onto the show after one of the other fighters came down with the chicken pox. Since then he’s made the most of his second chance.
Still, he should have his hands full with “The Latin Snake.” Mora looked quick and composed in dominating Jesse Brinkley in his semifinal bout.
"It is going to be attrition and whoever wants it more,” Mora told the Associated Press. “He is Italian, and I`m Mexican. The two (cultures) are pretty paralleled in pride and confidence.
"I fought him in the amateurs in the National Golden Gloves, and I beat him. I just want to go out there and fight with a lot of heart and win. I know I`m not going to be beat."
Manfedo lost, that was the gayest shit when they brought him back. Mora better win. And I heard the same thing, I guess the ratings were weak, either that or Sly Stallone needed to do Throw Mamma From a Train Part 2.
