  • NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Officials Doing a Good Job

“I think our officials do an extraordinary job,” Goodell said per NFL Media’s Dan Hanzus. “I think what we see now through technology is we see things we could never see before. But I think what it does is it validates the quality of our officiating. We all recognize that officials are going to make mistakes. What we need to do is try to avoid those mistakes as much as possible, train them differently and improve the quality of the officiating and use technology to help them when a mistake does occur.”

I've seen plenty of crappy calls for some time this year.

I think the officiating has been really inconsistent from crew to crew.I also think officiating pass interference calls in particular are deciding more games than the players these days.I also don't like seeing a bad call decide a game and coming back and saying its a non review-able play.I think any game deciding play should be review-able.Just my 2 cents.

People have complained about this for years, but I'm seeing it this year for me at least big time.

There is also a fallout between the ref's and their boss blasting them to the public.
