  • Aaron Hernandez Found Guilty

Wow. Thought he might get off without a weapon....

(CNN)Jurors in the trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez have found him guilty of first degree murder, which carries a penalty of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.

Hernandez was also found guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.

As the verdict was read, the former standout tight end appeared upset but calm -- pursing his lips and taking a deep breath, as his lawyer put his arm around him. He looked over to see his mother and fiancee weeping.

Dude had everything going for him and threw it all away. A thug from the start and now he goes from a mansion to a small box!

Nice job prosecution and jury....you got it right.

The jurors who found Aaron Hernandez guilty of murder say they were shocked by the defense admission that the former New England Patriots player was at the scene of the killing.

The jury talked to the media Wednesday shortly after convicting Hernandez of first-degree murder in the 2013 shooting of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee. The conviction carried a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.

They say the other murder case that he will stand trial on later in the year is stronger than this one was. Hernandez was dead from day 1. The only thing he could hope for was having the OJ jury as his jury. Has to be one of the dumbest people on earth. The guy was making huge money, was on a Super Bowl contender and could have just about any woman he wanted but he threw it away because he wanted to be a gangster. Besides if he wanted Lloyd killed why not take him to a wilderness area and bury the body where it will not be discovered for a ling time, if at all. Instead he does it at an industrial park a mile from his home and shares a doobie with him before the execution. What a jerk. Rot in hell you bastard.

As the decision was perused, the previous champion tight end seemed resentful however quiet - pressing together his lips and taking a full breath, as his legal advisor put his arm around him. He glanced over to see his mom and fiancee sobbing.
