This write up will be slanted as i am huge fan of Teddy Bridgewater, so just know that as you read on.
Before last years draft Teddy Bridgewater was in all likelihood going to be the first QB taken in the draft..... Then came his pro day, he was awful, he didn't wear the gloves he always wears in every game no matter the weather. They said his hands were too small, his wonderlic score was shitty, and they said he was to small. He went from being the number one QB to maybe not even first round material.
Blake Bortles, he wowed at his pro day and even more impressive as UCF blasted Baylor in a BCS game. He was the right build, right size, right everything. He shot up the draft boards and was the first QB taken on draft day.
Johnny Manziel, SEC pedigree, awesome pro day, and of course Mr. Awesomeness all around playmaker. Even though he is small and a running QB no one seemed to mind all of that.
Derek Carr, awesome college career but could he play at the next level. He didn't go in the first round but looking at who went before him I am not so sure he shouldn't have.
Here are their numbers for the season
1st QB taken Blake Bortles
started 13 games 2908 yards passing 11 TD 17 INT 7 FUMBLES 3-10 Record
2nd QB taken Johnny Manziel
started 2 games 175 yards passing 0 TD 2 INT 0-2 Record
3rd QB taken Teddy Bridgewater
started 12 games 2919 yards passing 14 Passing TD 1 Rushing TD 12 INT 3 FUMBLES 6-6 Record
4th QB taken Derek Carr
started 16 games 3270 yards passing 21 TD 12 INT 10 FUMBLES 3-13 Record
Biggest bust for the season: Pretty easy..... Johnny
Nice job on a shit team:.......... Derek Carr
Not worth his draft pick:...... Blake Bortles
A steal IMO at #32....... Teddy Bridgewater(6-6) with G Bay and Detroit in that division and no Adrian Peterson is simply a fantastic job. Kid is a hard worker, and will be a solid pro!! He graduated college in 3 years at UofL, promised his mom he would finish school before turning pro.
Bought my son a Viking # 5 shirt for Christmas!
