Kruise Opinions?

Guys,

I've been trying to keep Kaptain's Kruise threads going but we're just not getting enough participation. Kaptain told me that, to get the results we used to see, you need a minimum of 20-25 guys a day posting. We're not getting close to that.

Even with very few people posting, it's an awful lot of work, especially when college hoops play a full schedule. There are 3 or 4 days a week I don't even get time to pick games.

Monte, Kaz, KB, JC and I have discussed stopping due to lack of interest. We have also talked about making it more selective. We talked about limiting it to just weekends. I also suggested that NCAAB, which is the real time consumption problem, could be limited to the Top 25 or just night games or something like that.

Does anyone have any ideas how to get people interested and posting or how to limit the ridiculous number of NCAAB games?

I really don't want to do away with it but that could happen, too. Would you miss it if it stopped?

I appreciate the work you do to run that thread everyday, it's got to be difficult. I think its a great way to honor Karl and I respect that a great deal. I also believe that if its not serving its intended purpose (to represent the top picks amongst a large amount of capers) then it shouldn't be on you to carry it on.

It seemed as though participation was stronger during the early NCAAF & NFL seasons but has dwindled. It also looks like NBA & NCAABB haven't got a strong response at all and as you said that's the most labor intense thread. It's hard for me to say but if it's a pain in the ass and the guys don't fully participate maybe The Kruise should be eighty sixed or cut back. I know there can be some pretty fickle guys on here at times and everything you guys do is at the risk of offending or pissing someone off but if the participation doesn't support the required effort on your behalf then it should be cut back or off.

I do look at The Kruise whenever it's posted and use it as a part of my process. I've contributed to it on a limited basis but nobody is here to see my picks and mine are usual,y a conglomeration based on the opinions of other posters.

Bottom line for me is I'd miss it but it wouldn't keep me from coming here. The Kaptain has got my respect with or without it and I will still think of him everytime I'm here whether the thread is here or not.

I'm appreciate all of the work you guys do to maintain this site and to keep us entertained.

I like it and I respect the Kapt a great deal. I know he started this and I even told him that I missed his individual threads where I could say I had tomorrows paper. With that being said, I have enough trouble posting my own thread some days and now you are asking me to post the same plays in another thread? It's tough on most days.

What's your take on posting different sports plays in different sections of the site?
