Very Sad News to say the least! When I heard the news I was shocked, saddened and downright hurt like I had lost a personal member of my own family. I didn't get to meet him like some of you other guys, but was hoping one day that we could meet down at JT's. As Udog had said everything appeared to have went fine with the surgery and he was recovering very well then the next day he went down with his ship. Everyone on here knows the impact that he had on the site, but what truly matters was the man behind the posts. That man was loved, respected by many and many impacts no peoples lives. He will be missed by many!

During these times his family is suffering with the loss of Karl. I wish nothing, but the best for his family in these times.

Wow, I'm not sure what to say as I think that I'm in shock. I would say that I was fortunate enough to talk with him twice and what a memorable moment. We talked about bases, football, hoops, other members and Vegas. I tried to persuade him to get a bunch of guys together and head to Sin City and he chuckled and said his heart couldn't take that....Ironic. He was such a good man who had nothing but the best interest of others in every action or word that he said. As someone mentioned earlier, there have been many to pass recently and I now try to live everyday as if it is my last. You just never know. Kapt, you have touched many lives through a forum, I can only imagine the impact that you had on those you met in person.

My prayers go out to his family....RIP Kapt.

Enjoyed lots of good times here with Karl. He enjoyed his life doing what he loved to do all the way to the end.
He reminded me of a John Wayne, Clint Eastwood type, where he'd crack you in the jaw and then buy you a drink. I hope if there is really an afterlife, that he is enjoying much laughs with best pals Jimmy and Wayne.
