Kaptain will be missed for sure. Always respectful and caring, always able to add that personal touch the only way Kaptain could. I know he cared a lot about the site and the members here and always wanted to do his best to help out. As Kaz mentioned above, I know Kapt and Jimmy are sitting around having some good laughs this morning. He loved his cajun buddies a lot.

Smooth sailing from here Kaptain, and don't be afraid to throw some of that cajun mojo' on my games that you always did for me PODNA!

    R.I.P. my friend.

Sad sad news. RIP Kapt. I always had fun with you and your senior moments. I guess you could say your rotation number came up. You will be greatly missed

Really hated to hear this news. Kaptain was a pillar of this site. Don't think this board would be half what it is if not for Kaptain. It really seems like we are losing a lot of our good friends here lately. Makes you want to cherish our time together here instead of arguing because sometimes things are so so much more important.

I guarantee Kaptain and Jimmy and Chunger are getting a good laugh out of this one! Thanks for lighting up an otherwise dark day, Phil!

R.I.P Kapt. I hardly post anything on here but follow the forum very closely on a daily basis. Please keep the "Kruise" play going as long as possible. That's the best way to remember him here.

Well said Tech !!! Maybe by Karls death, we can all learn this !!!

Karl and I became friends from this site - BC. He is another one I was fortunate to meet because of this site.
I have a grandson that was born around the same time as one of his granddaughters and we use to say that they were going to meet up when they got older !! LOL

I made a comment on here one time about "doing" a goat !! LOL And Karl then started calling me the VGF - Village Goat F***ER !!! That is why when I put my name at the bottom of my post, i post it "dave - vgf". Now I will still do it but with a heavy heart.

Karl, we will miss you around here but I know you will be here in spirit and the Kruise will be Smooth Sailing !!!

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends !!! Gonna miss you buddy !!! Maybe your granddaughter and my grandson will still meet when they get older !!!

For a man I've never met or spoken to outside of an internet forum, this really bothers me way more than I thought it ever could. Despite any argument or disagreement you've ever had with him, you knew he was a genuinely good dude. Same goes for all the guys around here. For the on and off 6 years I've been a part of this forum, there have only been a handful of stable guys around here who you just knew couldn't live without this site, and this site couldn't live without them. Kaptain was certainly one of those guys, and this place will probably never be the same without some old dude with a ship avatar constantly coming in your threads to bug you for rotation numbers, or asking you to "throw some picks in the kruise," or just to wish you luck and "bring 'er in."

God Bless his family and friends. And God bless all you guys here who I know were much closer to him than I.

                          Rest in Peace Kap.

                              Karl Manning

Electrical Engineer, Father, brother, son, grandpa, handicapper, and a friend. He wore a lot of hats, even still working at the ripe old age of 74. The Kaptain was old school in just about every way a man can carry himself. He was a straight shooter, had a keen eye for bullshit and didn't hesitate to call someone on it. I am truly going to miss his wit, his humor, and his wisdom of all sports.

There is no doubt in my mind the world is a sadder place without the Kaptain in it, certainly BC is a darker without him here.

Karl's family is in my prayers, and I hope Jimmy, the Chunger, and the Kaptain are yucking it up in heaven as I type this.

                              Love ya Kaptain
