After seeing the latest Ray Rice video, Goodell must be nuts only giving him a 2 game suspension. 8 games should have been the minimum. In all honesty the Ravens should step in immediately and tack on another 6 game suspension to the 2 Goodell gave him. I personally wish the Ravens would release him immediately. While I am a big Ravens' fan, I Will loose a lot of respect for the organization if they do nothing

Exactly
I'm not sure who f*cked up more, the DA in New Jersey who let him off w/a disgusting plea or Roger Goddell.
And from a team perspective, the Ravens f*cked this one up as well. And I can't believe fans cheered this guy during the preseason...brutal.Last edited by LVJimmy; 09-08-2014, 06:16 PM.

I'm so confused, what does this video change? I don't know ignorant people really are, did they not think he punched his wife in the face when they saw the original video where he pulled her out unconscious from the elevator? What were people imagining happened in there? She slipped and fell?
I think the biggest frauds here are the NFL- they realized the suspension was too short of a punishment, and are now using this video as an excuse to further the suspension to what it should have been in the first place. No shit he punched her in the face, idk why you have to see her actually being punched in the face to believe that."CFB YTD: 5-8-1 -16.2"

Not sure how you could be so certain what they have/haven't seen til this point. I just don't know why this video is the one that tipped the scales. In the first video months ago, we saw him pull an unconscious woman out of an elevator. HINT: she was totally fine 90 seconds before that, and there was only one person in the elevator with her.Originally posted by 10DimeBry View PostIf you honestly buy into the fact that NFL didnt see that video before today I must tell you that Santa Claus the Easter bunny the tooth fairy are not real."CFB YTD: 5-8-1 -16.2"

He KO's her with a vicious left hook. What a huge, roid rage, POS he turned out to be. Any guy who hits/beats a woman is nothing short of a coward.

Agreed. I just don't know how everyone didn't already deduce that that's what happened long before seeing this video.Originally posted by KazDog View PostHe KO's her with a vicious left hook. I think they knew exactly what happened and hoped that this just went away with a small suspension. This is a huge black eye to the NFL and of course Harbaugh and the Ravens didn't want to see their precious commodity get suspended forever. Now. They had no choice but to do what they did. You are exactly right. They knew full well what went on in that elevator.Originally posted by mavskidd02 View PostAgreed. Can't say whether or not the league office or the Ravens saw the knockout video but both say today was the first time they saw it. I guess they had to say it to save face. The Ravens stood behind Rice because he allegedly told the Ravens front office that there was an altercation and that she came at him in the elevator he pushed her away and she hit her head causing her to be knocked out. Totally different story than what the video showed today, him cold-cocking her. So they cut him loose. I think Rice has played his last down in the NFL. He is going into his 8th season and coming off a poor 2013. Any team who picked him up will have to deal with a lot of distractions and negative publicity. You may do that if you were getting the Ray Rice of 3-4 years ago but I don't think it would be worth it if you are getting a player near the end of his career.

Very true. The NFL and its fans seem to have a very short memory when dealing with troubled players. They forgive and forget quite easily. But Rice may be out of teams willing to take a chance on him....Originally posted by ravenmaniac View PostCan't say whether or not the league office or the Ravens saw the knockout video but both say today was the first time they saw it.
