  • Man Sues Casino Over Loosing $500k on The Super Bowl

Man sues Vegas club, says he was inebriated and they shouldn't have given him a chance to wager $500k on Super Bowl

The Downtown Grand has been open for barely a couple of months, yet it is as of now confronting a lawsuit.

Mark Johnston, who says he had an excessive amount to drink before wagering $500,000 on the Super Bowl, says the resort should give him back his money, because he was inebriated.

Gaming regulations stipulate that a casino can be punished for allowing people that are visibly inebriated to gamble.

Johnston says while he doesn't want any sympathy from others, in any case he feels wronged.

"I feel like they took a drunk person walking down the street and reached into his or her pockets then taking all of their money."

The Downtown Grand does not remark on pending complaints nor litigation. Johnston has said "That the Gaming Control Board is Investigating his complaint".

Well, first part of your sentence points to KB. However, Dimer was the only one that I know of that had Denver.

I wonder if he would have gave the money back if he would have won the bet? "Here's your money, I was drunk and didn't mean to make the bet."

You sure Denver didn't win, Dimer said it was the wishes of the NFL that Peyton get another ring?

Dimer was sitting in the Peyton Manning suite between Tiger Woods and Rich Harden.

So all I have to do is get really hammered, walk into each casino/sportsbook and bet big. If they don't allow the bet, on to the next. If they do, it's a win-win.....if ye can't handle ye liquor, it's best that ye stay at home.

I honestly didn't know there were casino sportsbooks that had limits that high. Thought you'd have to place a bet at multiple books to get in a bet that large...not that it's ever an issue for me. Of course, the 500K was probably on multiple bets, including a bunch of props or something.

He didn't have the $500k in his pocket as the Casino let him bet on credit/marker. Which ponders what type of work this guy does to be able to get that much credit.

New Casino I believe in business for a year. And from my info it was only on the side of the game.

The news media ran an article that the game may have been fixed with Denver throwing it for a lot of money. Yeah, right like Peyton throwing the ball and the lineman tipped it into the hands of another Seattle player who ran it in for a TD. Or the kickoff return for a TD or the safety.

He didn't lose a dime on the Superbowl. Guy went to the casino a few days before the Superbowl and got a $250,000 line of credit that was increased to $500,000 while gambling. His lawsuit claims that over a 17 hour period covering January 30 and 31, he consumed over 20 drinks while playing high stakes blackjack and pai gow poker. I hope the asshole loses in court.
