  • A-Rod's suspension reduced to 162 games

    ESPN.com news services

Alex Rodriguez's suspension has been reduced to 162 games, according to the New York Yankees slugger's spokesman.

Rodriguez originally received a 211-game suspension last season for his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal.

But Rodriguez appealed the 211-game ban, forcing a lengthy arbitration process between Major League Baseball and the three-time American League MVP.

Rodriguez repeatedly has claimed that he has never used performance-enhancing substances while with the Yankees.

Huge for the Yankees. That's $25 mill to spend this year. If they're smart they'll use it to stay under the cap. Whoever they sign make the contract loaded after the first year. Reset the luxury tax

Didn't he first deny using any steroids then he came out and said that he did? And then he's returned to saying that he hasn't ever took them.

        MLB poster boy and steroids.

Bonds, Clemens and McGwire didn't come close to making the HOF. Sheffield is coming up next year and he might as well forget it. Arod will not make the HOF either.

Do you think Craig Biggio deserves to be in the HOF?

His son Connor Biggio sucks. http://www.und.com/sports/m-basebl/m...io_783336.html

What makes you think that? Arod stops taking steroids what happens to his numbers upon returning in 2015? I wonder if the Yankees could sue him or will let him go.
