Anthony Mark Boscarino 47 was sentenced to 43 charges of fraud, money laundering, and Tax evasion. Which led to Boscarino being sentenced to more than 11 years in prison. By U.S. District Judge Cindy K. Jorgenson in Tucson, Arizona.
Boscarino operated under a numerous different sports handicapping services. His scams were gambling junkets to Las Vegas which included solicited money from investors for a fictitious high limit slot player who made regular visits to Las Vegas. Investors wired Boscarino around $7.7 million and Boscarino used $5 million of his own money from various institutions for his own use.
As well he scammed others with investments such as Oil well projects, collateralized mortgage obligations and several other scams.
Boscarino was ordered to pay restitution of $6.5 million to 1,685 victims and $1.3 million in unpaid taxes. U.S. District Judge Cindy K. Jorgenson also ordered a $4.8 million Judgement against Boscarino. In which he forfeited several of his cars and bank accounts.
