  • Alex Smith traded to Chiefs

I hear they didn't lose the first pick to get him either

It wouldn't excite me if I were a Chiefs fan.

Here's my 2 cents... He's better than Cassill. None of the QB's entering the draft are #1 pick worthy. Now they can use their pick on Joekel or another top notch O lineman to help shore up that unit.

I kinda like the move to be honest. About the best they could have hoped for with the free agent pool and the weak QB's in the draft.

        81-53 for Alex smith

        82-58 for Matt Cassel

Touchdown to INT for both (career stats)

Looks like the same to me

I like the move, I think Smith can help this franchise.
Nothing is as far away as one minute ago.

Are these projected (estimated) or exact totals?

Smith looked good on a Super Bowl team, just like Cassel did in N.E. in '08 after the (18-1) SB season. Cassel looked like shit when he had shit around him in KC and so did Smith in SF when he had shit around him too.

Neither of those guys are going to WIN games for you. They are both guys that will try to keep you in a game and let others win it.

People seem to forget how much Smith sucked ass until a SB team was built around him. He will be expected to carry the team and win games in KC and I don't see it.

I can promise you teams like Baltimore, Denver, Houston and N.E. are far from scared of the Chiefs after this move. No way in hell this move worries any of the contenders!
