Kaepernick has looked real good. Can't blame him for using Kap or Smith as his starter. Kap brings a new element to the offense but you could also say that Smith had done nothing to lose the job. 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other.

I would've stayed w/Alex Smith.

Kap may be the future in SF, but if you'e trying to win a SB this season, I think Smith gives you a better chance. You can't expect to insert a "rookie" starting QB mid-season and expect him to take you all the way.

Agreed....exceptions to every rule but we will see what the Niners end up doing..anyway, damn those Seahawks! Couldn't lose today so we could keep pace. If we don't pull off a miracle and get into the playoffs, I am excited for next season

Tough matchup for Kap. If you recall, the Rams should have beat SF in OT last time in SF. Harbaugh was using Smith until he felt Kap was ready...which is now. He sees both in practice everyday and must have complete confidence in Kap.

They don't want to pay Smith the 6 million roster bonus, so barring injury your going to see Kap.

Plus Kap has way more potential than Smith. IMO
