This past month i have been wagering on rennis and have done very well.what i have been doing is just playing the odds.for instance if a player is ranked and going against a player not ranked i play the odds.if ranked player is a -200 or more player i play on him.if under or non ranked player is favored then i play on the non ranked player.basically this match starting in about 5 min

verse berankis not ranked

the line is kilzan -135

if kilzan was favored by -250 i would play him but if it's only -135 then i take the other guy at +120 thinking the #3 ranked guy should be favored by more than just -135.

Another thing i don't underatand it seems like every match goes 3 sets.a player will look like crap in the first set then come back and win the next 2.i am new to gambling on tennis but just love the fact that they have matches u can wager on at 2 am or 6am when i am awake and no other sports are playing.


For instance this morning at the at st petersburg open

#1 ranked youzhny was favored at -400 over #7 g garcia lopez.

By my system i talked about in the first post i should have layed the -400 but i thought if the guy is ranked #7 then it's good value at +360.

Well set 1 youzhny won 6-4

then second set garcia lopez won 0-6

third set youzhny won 3rd set 6-3 to win the match.


I just dint get how a person can look bad in set 1 and set 3 but win the 2nd set 6-0.

Is there some kinda strategy why someone would do this or does it just happen

I have been playing tennis for years and winning playing the same way you posted in the first post. I also throw in how people play on certain surfaces and I also keep track of the line movement and dont play it if the favorite goes up to high over its opening line. For instance if a fav opens at -260 and I plan on playing it and it moves to -340 I dont play it.
