Tulane safety Devon Walker was injured on the last play of the first half during Saturday's game at Tulsa and left the field in an ambulance.
After treating Walker for several minutes on the field, paramedics strapped him to a stretcher and moved him into a waiting ambulance, which remained on the field with its doors closed for several more minutes before slowly leaving the stadium.
A television report said one of Walker's teammates ran into the senior from New Orleans as Walker attempted to make a tackle.
Walker did not appear to move as he was being treated. Fox sideline reporter Desmond Purnell said on the television broadcast of the game that Walker stopped breathing for a time but resumed after paramedics used CPR.Comment
