When Adam Scott birdied the 14th hole on Sunday in the British open his odds of winning skyrocketed to -7000. That meant he had a 98% of winning, whereas the odds on Ernie Els winning was 470-1. That didn't deter one bettor who placed $70 on Els to win when Scott reached the 15th tee. Scott's collapse netted the bettor $32,900. It doesn't happen very often but I love to read those stories.
